Should I put new team member under someone or keep my recruits?

Here was a question I was asked today:

Question: Hi Coach, I’ve been studying your youtube videos on OYL… can you answer a question for me? I’m meeting with a person tomorrow who is interested to hear about my online business. Let’s say he leans how to drive and likes our vehicle and wants to sign up. Do i sign him up under me directly or under someone with whom he’s not at all connected to, to activate them?

I really appreciate how clear you are in your teaching Coach.

Coach’s answer:

Hello Friends,

Unless there’s a logistical reason you can’t support someone, I never recommend giving anyone away. There are many reasons for this, but in referral marketing, you can lose a lot of money by doing so. As long as you can support them, it’s best to keep them.

If you have a huge organization and are maxed out on time, or if you met someone at an airport in Texas who wanted to sign up and you couldn’t support them, you might consider plugging them into a local group. However, giving people away can be risky.

Let me give you an example. A friend of mine signed up a guy and placed him under his first-level person, making the new person his second level. He didn’t inform the person he was doing this. (which is a whole other story)! It was a seven-level pay plan, and the new guy built an enormous business. My friend lost the entire seventh level’s earnings because he placed the guy on his second level instead of his first.

If you write down the numbers for each level (5-25-125-625-3,125-15,625-78,125 so he was cut off from the team members entire 7th level which in this example is 78,125 people!) so multiply that times $100 a month times 2% = $156,250 per month… That’s almost $2 million per year in income he lost by placing him on his second level instead of personally sponsoring him…. so do you see the problem? And he lost this income each year for about ten years because of that decision.

Remember, companies can only pay out so much money. If you’re cut off due to lower levels, it can cost you significantly. While this is an extreme example, doing business right means you’ll encounter people who build big businesses.

Another reason not to give people away is that bonus structures often depend on your first few levels. For example, in our company, to make Diamond status, only the first three levels count towards it. If you gave someone away and they ended up on your fourth level or beyond, none of that volume would count towards Diamond status.

Most people don’t fully understand their compensation plans, so I don’t give people away unless there’s a compelling reason to do so.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks,

P.S. Do you see the value of the Own Your Life System, Community & App now? No one gets this type of information on any topic for $25 per month… and you’re getting it for free her because we’re not open yet… but it’s my pleasure (-:

Please share GetDonsApp.com if you and you’re team would like this type of information at their fingertips… thanks.

Welcome

Hi, Coach Wade here.

Most people don’t fail in MLM because they can’t sell.
They fail because they were taught to explain, convince, and pressure.

That never works.

People join when they feel curious, comfortable, and in control.

This site is about thinking skills, not scripts.

You’ll learn:

  • Why explaining kills interest
  • How to create curiosity without selling
  • Why tools work better than opinions
  • How to keep pressure low and posture high

If you don’t like chasing people, you’re in the right place.

Take your time.
Think differently.
