So let’s talk about responsibility.

Nothing happens without motivation. When our business isn’t producing the results we want, the real question becomes: who’s responsible?

One of the biggest challenges people face—especially when they’re new to network marketing—is building rapport. Too often, we rush straight into our presentation, unloading features, facts, and benefits before trust has ever been established.

One of the simplest and most effective ways to build trust with a prospect is something I call “mind-reading.” When people feel like you understand how they see the world, their guard immediately comes down.

The good news? Reading a prospect’s mind isn’t complicated. It simply requires observation and a little common sense.

For example, imagine you’re talking to someone working a minimum-wage job. You might make statements like:

• Jobs really get in the way of enjoying the week.
• Having two income streams beats relying on just one.
• Most people wish they had more time with their family.
• It’s tough trying to survive on a single paycheck.
• Everything costs more these days.

When you say things like this, the prospect starts thinking, “This person gets me. We see things the same way.”

That’s when trust begins to form.

And once that trust is in place, then—and only then—does it make sense to introduce your business opportunity.
