Hi — Coach Wade here.
Ever notice how often prospects say, “I don’t have time”?
That objection shows up everywhere—and most of the time, it’s not really about time at all. It’s about habits, leadership, and motivation.
This is where having a simple “time” infographic can be powerful. It gives prospects something visual to think about instead of something to argue with. When someone claims they don’t have time, what they’re often revealing are deeper leadership traits.
Which leads us to an important lesson:
The Three Signs of Lazy Leadership
Outside Motivation
Many new distributors unknowingly carry their old work habits into their new business. If they lacked motivation at their job, that same behavior often shows up after they enroll.
They’re usually looking for external motivation to jump-start their results.
As leaders, we can’t assume brand-new team members arrive with strong self-discipline and self-motivation already developed. That’s unrealistic. The real question is—what’s our leadership strategy?
Do we rely on incentives like prizes or contests?
Do we point them toward motivational books or videos?
Do we try to “match” their effort to keep them engaged?
True leadership is about drawing the best out of people, not waiting for them to figure it out on their own. Smart leaders think ahead and decide how they’ll support and guide new team members from the beginning.
Can’t Hold a Job?
At first glance, this might seem like a red flag. In reality, it can be a strong indicator of leadership potential.
People who struggle in traditional jobs often crave independence. They’re not wired to follow orders or fit neatly into someone else’s system.
Many successful leaders don’t “blend in” at work—they build their own path.
Instead of avoiding these so-called misfits, maybe we should pay closer attention. One of them could become your next top leader in your organization.
